1. Which software is required to receive DRM Protected documents?

Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) are required to receive DRM protected ebooks so that one can view documents purchased from our website. This software can be downloaded now from the Adobe website  for free.

2. What is Adobe Digital Editions (ADE)?

Adobe Digital Editions is a free eBook reader which helps one access DRM-protected PDF files. It also widens the capabilities of the eBook that were included in the previous versions of Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat. For detailed information, you can see the Adobe ADE website.

3. How large is the ADE software?

ADE does not take much time to download. Usually, it takes less than a minute as the software is approximately 4.3MB in size. The document reader, Adobe Reader 7, was approximately 19MB previously.

4. How to download Adobe Digital Editions?

ADE can be downloaded from the Adobe Digital Editions website for free.

5. Is the Adobe Reader needed to view the DRM Protected ebook in ADE?

No, the Adobe Reader is not needed as the ADE can be used without the Adobe Reader, as an independent application. But it can still be used in combination with the Adobe Reader versions 8 and 9.

6. Does ADE need to be activated once I have downloaded it?

Yes, the ADE comes with a setup assistance that will assist you to activate this software when you first install it. You can visit Adobe Digital Editions FAQ, in case you need more information.

7. Who can help me in case I have trouble while installing ADE?

The Support Centre for Adobe Digital Editions has been launched by the Adobe. It covers troubleshooting so that you don’t face any hassle. You can also contact us for the same at shopsupport@jagranjosh.com and we will do the needful.

8. What are the system requirements for ADE?

9. How do I receive the item?

We send you an email message to tell you that it is available. This will have your order/request number in the header subject line and will contain the hyperlink(s) to your document(s). Click on the link while your computer is connected to the Internet to download the document.
Note: You are only allowed to access the document from our secure server once. So do not click on the link if you don't intend to download the document.

10. How many times can I print the item?

You may print only one paper copy, from which you may not make any further copies. You may not make further electronic copies or convert the file into any other format. You may not cut and paste or otherwise alter the text.

11. After I get the email notification, how much time do I have to download and print it?

For 30 days, the electronic copy will be available for collection and after that the file will be deleted. If you cannot access the file within this time, you should contact Customer Services for assistance.

We suggest you to print a copy as soon as you can, once you the document. If the UK or Irish customer ordered this document without paying a copyright fee through our Library Privilege service, then the document must be printed before the 14 days are up because access locks 14 days after the notification email. We recommend you take your printout as soon as it's convenient, though the most documents can be stored for up to 14 days.

12. Can I forward the item?

Yes, you can simply forward the email message to your end user, but with a condition that you have not opened the item from the link in the email notification. However, make sure that the Adobe Digital Editions is installed in the user’s computer.

13. Can I save items on my hard drive?

Yes, where we have an agreement with the publisher. The items will be stored in ‘Library’ on Adobe Digital Editions. You are not permitted to store any items ordered through our Library Privilege service.
